I’m Ellie Campisano

the founder of Enlivened Education

I’ve dedicated my career to helping students of all ages achieve their academic goals and feel passionate about learning by providing the personalized academic support they need to thrive in the college readiness process. All while giving their families clarity, calm, and confidence in navigating their educational paths.

Growing up, I blossomed when educators nurtured my learning style and intellectual needs - but, I also saw friends struggle without that support, and wished everyone could experience an empowering learning process. I started by mentoring young students while I earned my degree from Harvard, and haven’t stopped since!

Since college, I’ve worked as a teacher, learning specialist, mentor, and instructional coach with Teach For America, Uncommon Schools, Citizen Schools, Evolved Education, Ivy Prep Learning Center, and Signet Education. With this wide range of experiences, I now specialize in holistically developing students’ college readiness by:

  • Identifying their learning challenges and honing their broader academic planning skills,

  • Improving standardized test scores (primarily SAT, ACT, GRE and AP exams),

  • developing their reading comprehension, writing skills, and STEM-focused critical thinking abilities

  • Empowering their goals for college and dreams for the future.

In all these educational areas, I’m passionate about meeting students at their level, creating strategic programs for their unique needs, supporting them in reaching their academic goals, and developing their confidence as lifelong learners.

our values

Enlivened Education provides wraparound college readiness support that is collaborative with students and their families and custom-tailored to fit each student’s unique needs.

Holistic Growth

At Enlivened Education, we believe that people of all ages, but especially kids & teens, grow strongest & most sustainably when we focus on cultivating all components of their development, including intellectual, social-emotional, organizational, physical & even psycho-spiritual elements of their lives that need support & guidance.

Intentional Self-Determination

The most meaningful & powerful goals are those teens actually believe in for themselves. It’s easy to get sucked into the hamster-wheel of what everyone else is doing & thinking – which is why it’s critical to help teens not only develop their own passions & big ideas, but also intentionally foster their skills around self-awareness, self-efficacy, & self-advocacy in all parts of their education.

Lifelong Learning for All

Beyond individualized learning support for struggling students, Enlivened Education believes that we, as educators, are called to support education and learning access for all people, regardless of background, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, nationality, creed, and religious or political beliefs. Education is for everyone - and we will always fight for all people’s right to learn.

Joyful Co-Creation

Collaboration is crucial in learning & life! With this in mind, at Enlivened Education, we work with students & families to co-create learning plans & support systems that meet teens where they are, help them envision the potential future paths that bring them joy, & collaborate on honing the skills & knowledge they’ll need to achieve their goals.

Empathetic Individualization

Unlike many education companies that offer mostly one-size-fits-all curricula addressing only a handful of teens’ struggles, at Enlivened Education, we believe in building personalized educational plans from the ground up. By empathizing with students’ unique talents & challenges, & customizing their learning plans to support individual needs & goals, we build knowledge & skills for all kids to achieve their dreams - not just those who fit the mold.

behind the scenes

In addition to my teaching and counseling experience, I spent a year working in Tanzania with 2Seeds Network, a nonprofit specializing in small-scale agricultural development and community-based learning. I also learned to speak Swahili!

In my non-teaching time, I love hiking, reading, yoga, and spending time with my awesome partner and 2 amazing kids.
